to the Piccolini’s Way
At Piccolini’s Place, we believe every child is capable, curious, and full of potential. Our nurturing educators create a warm, inclusive environment where young minds can explore, imagine, and grow, from their very first weeks to their first day of school.

From 6 weeks to school age, we provide a calm, caring environment where every child feels safe, valued, and connected. Our educators respond to each child’s individual rhythms, building strong foundations for lifelong learning and wellbeing.

At Piccolini’s Place, children are active participants in their own learning. Guided by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, we follow their interests and ideas, creating meaningful, hands-on experiences that encourage curiosity, discovery, and joy.

Our spaces are thoughtfully designed to inspire exploration and creativity. Natural light, open-ended materials, and connections to nature invite children to experiment, collaborate, and express themselves in endless ways, reflecting the Reggio Emilia belief that the environment itself teaches.

Families are our partners in learning. We value open communication, shared reflection, and collaboration with our local Churchill community, creating a supportive network that celebrates each child’s growth and sense of belonging.
The Reggio Emilia philosophy sees children as capable, creative, and full of potential. Learning is guided by their interests and expressed through play, exploration, and relationships. At Piccolini’s Place, this child-led approach shapes everything we do, inspiring curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Child-Led Learning
Every child at Piccolini’s Place is viewed as capable, curious, and full of potential.
Our educators follow each child’s interests, asking questions and creating opportunities that deepen understanding through play and discovery. Learning is not something we deliver. it’s something we co-create with children, as they explore ideas, test possibilities, and express themselves in many different ways.
By empowering children to lead their own learning journey, we nurture confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning
Inspired Environments
We believe the environment is a powerful teacher. Our spaces are thoughtfully designed to invite exploration, creativity, and calm. Natural light, open-ended materials, and connections to the outdoors encourage children to wonder, build, create, and connect with the world around them.
Every corner of Piccolini’s Place tells a story, one that grows as children engage with their surroundings, form relationships, and bring their ideas to life.
Strong Relationships
Relationships are at the heart of everything we do.
We build trusting, respectful connections between children, educators, and families, because we know children thrive when they feel safe, seen, and supported. We view families as partners in their child’s learning journey, and our community as an extension of the classroom. Together, we create a place where everyone belongs and every child can flourish.
Now Welcoming Families in Churchill. Piccolini’s Place is proud to be opening our very first early learning centre right here in the heart of Churchill. Our purpose-built, Reggio Emilia–inspired space has been thoughtfully designed to nurture curiosity, creativity, and connection for children from 6 weeks to school age.
Construction is beginning soon, and we can’t wait to welcome local families into a warm and inspiring environment where every child is supported to grow, learn, and thrive.

Every great adventure begins with a “ciao”, an Italian way to say hello.
Whether you’re curious about our programs, eager to join the waitlist, or simply want to learn more about what’s coming to Piccolini’s Place, we’d love to hear from you.
